two furrows play area is a small pay area for children and a wider open space that you can excercise your pets too and is only a few minutes walk away, albeit up one of our infamous hills 😂
for a short walk with the kids or a dog there is a couple of streams in the woods less than 10 minutes along the road
if it has been raining then we suggest wellies and you can have a splash around
someone local even creates stone stacks and sometimes swings and see-saws from felled trees

huddersfield narrow canal is a great place to walk to that one way will take you to huddersfield town and the other way to linthwaite, slaithwaite and marsden ending at tunnel end which has a museum

scammonden dam has some great dog friendly walks and although near the motorway, much of it is peaceful
